Professional Experience

Andrew Sneed received a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from Kansas State University in 2010.  He worked for Phillips+Gomez Inc. (formerly Phillips+Bacon) as a project engineer designing mechanical, plumbing and fire-protection systems as well as serving as a project manager. He is a licensed professional engineer in Oklahoma. He returned to K-State in the fall of 2019 as an instructor in the GE Johnson Department of Architectural Engineering and Construction Science.

Research

His research interests include high-efficiency hydronic piping systems and controls as well as energy-efficient plumbing operations. He also plans to establish a program of research and creative activity.

Academic Highlights

Sneed is pursuing his master’s degree while focusing primarily on teaching assignments and academic advising. In addition to academic advising, he also acts as a faculty adviser for the ASHRAE student group.
